History

At Aston Clinton School, we believe:

That all of our pupils should have an understanding of the past and how history will shape their future.  We aim to teach children to think as historians: ask questions; analyse evidence; investigate lines of enquiry and develop chronological understanding.

Our History Curriculum is packed with engaging and inspiring topics which will actively motivate children to ask ‘why?’.  Key concepts and knowledge categories, such as artefacts and evidence, beliefs and conflict underpin our teaching and ensure progression of knowledge and skills across our school.

Learning about their past will help them to make sense of their future.
