Uniform Information

Our school is pleased to present itself smartly in uniform. We are proud of our school and its achievements and we ask parents to ensure that children are provided with school uniform and that each item is clearly named.

The school uniform is:-

  • stiff collared white shirt,
  • grey school trousers or dkirt (shorts or pinafore dress are also allowed),
  • royal blue cardigan or v-neck jumper with the school badge,
  • school tie,
  • summer dresses of blue quarter-inch check gingham on white can be worn in the summer term,
  • black shoes. No boots or trainers.

Children may not wear jeans, leggings, sportswear or other 'fashion' items. Trainers   (other than for P.E.) and high heels are not suitable as school shoes.

For P.E. the children are barefoot in the hall but will require plimsolls or trainers outside. Children wear a T-shirt linked to their house colour (red, blue, yellow or green) and navy shorts. A dark coloured track suit may also be worn outside in cold weather.

Our uniform can be purchased from the Bucks Schoolwear Plus premises at the Vale Industrial Estate, Southern Rd, Aylesbury  or via their website https://bucksschoolwearplus.co.uk/school/

The shop sells our sweatshirts, ties, P.E. t-shirts, P.E. bags and book bags.  All other items can also be purchased from them, or other retail outlets.

From time to time, we hold 'Mufti' days where children may wear non-school uniform clothing. On these days we would expect children to wear clothing and shoes that are appropriate for school. Clothing with slogans should not be worn.

Jewellery, hair and make up

Jewellery is not permitted in school as it is unnecessary and can injure children when they are at play. Children may wear a watch and simple stud earrings if they wish . However, all jewellery must be removed for PE lessons. Newly pierced ears should be taped for PE lessons until they can be removed. It will be the child's responsibility to store their jewellery safely , if they have a PE lesson.

Hair should be neat and tidy and in a style that  does not draw undue attention to the child. It should not be coloured and there should be no shaved patterns or areas cut in to the hair. Hair accessories should be small and unobtrusive. We request that any child with long hair has it tied up. This is to reduce the spread of head lice, but also so children can see what they are doing in lessons. In P.E. it is a health and safety issue if hair falls across the face - it restricts visibility on equipment or when catching.

We do not allow children to wear any makeup including nail varnish.
