Year 4 - Ancient Egypt

Year 4 made canopic jars as part of their Ancient Egypt topic. They designed them. based on the jars used for holding body organs in ancient times and then created their piece of work from clay

The children have been learning collage skills, looking at the American artist Megan Coyle. They developed the collage techniques of overlapping, mosaic and layering and applied them to their Ancient Egyptian topic by making collages of the Egyptian Bastet (cat) God.
